We have experience in the seismic strengthening and design of residential, low-rise commercial, industrial, and civil structures.
Our services include:
Inspection, assessment, and reporting of damaged structures for property owners, contractors, insurance companies, and lawyers. We have excellent working relationships with the main insurance companies, including the National Hazards Commission (NHC) Toka Tu Ake.
Preliminary on-site meeting to discuss earthquake damage or inadequate repair concerns, review of existing documentation to determine if a more detailed inspection is required, and provide advice on the repair process.
Detailed site assessment, comprising a review of existing documentation, a structural assessment, floor level and fixture level survey, photographic subfloor inspection, wall verticality survey, roof space inspection, and shallow geotechnical testing. A comprehensive report is produced to provide recommendations for repair or remediation. This type of report is useful for the property owner’s peace of mind or ease of sale/purchase.
We work closely with our geotechnical engineering partners to provide geotechnical advice and reports, ensuring all repairs are done correctly and to the highest standards.
Structural design of repairs, council building consent application with engineering design producer statements (PS1) and LBP memorandum as required. Liaising with insurers, contractors, or project management companies on your behalf if required, and providing construction monitoring and PS4 engineering sign-off.
